Hi,

I'm the type of driver who doesn't replace brake pads until I hear the wear indicators make noise. This is a consequency of have way too many mechanics promise "you need to replace your brakes immediately - they're way too low". I usually ignore that advice, and invariably I get another year+ out of the pads.

Anyway, my question is whether or not the rear pads have wear indicators on them? I know my old front pads did. Those were replaced about a year ago with the new OEM ceramic pads. (I'm not even sure if those new fronts have wear indicators).

Any/all advice is appreciated,

p.s.

I ask this because I'm about to drop my car off to the mechanic for 120K service, and last time I was in (three months ago) I was again reminded I needed to quickly replace my rear pads *and* rotors.
