It's ok to drive the car if the ABS light is on.
It's telling you that the ABS system is disabled, but the braking system is still working as it should.
If you were to do a panic stop, the wheels may lock up and cause you to skid, where if the ABS system was working, it would pump the brakes a gazillion times preventing a skid.
