Hi all, Recent issue as it has gotten colder.. 1999 9-5 2.3 Starts fine every morning but as soon as put foot on brake and try to shift into reverse or any gear it stalls. After warm up seems to be no problem when driving, at stops or when start up again.. at stops after warm it does seem to idle a bit hard like under load but no stall.. I have seen other posts similar and bad throttle body, but no high revving or other symptoms when warm and no check engine lights so far?
Other recent cold weather problem is no heater fan.. (also have code 8 and cold air from drivers when on heat but other issue) for a while slamming drivers door would kick it on but no more and now I can hear it very slowly tick tick tick like super slow revolution.. just called around for used fan motor no luck locally but one junk yard said someone recently had same problem with no fan but slow tick tick sound and fan was full of leaves.. he said they cleaned out leaves and worked fine.. we recently had bad rain and wind stripping trees of leaves… anyone else experienced the remove leaves fan cure??? Don't know how/where to check for leaves to check this out? Hate to tear apart thinking only leaves and find out I need motor and not have part I need… for approx $75-100 can get used fan instead of 300 + for new… dealing with very brrrr cold 40 min commute and frosted windshield with recent hard freeze up here? figure fan is first to fix so can defrost windshield and can deal with cold drive as long as can see then deal with code 08 fix if broken arm (hopefully?) for comfort... oh yea.. 170,000+ miles... help... suggestions?? Love ride of car, but since June 08 purchase, many many things I have read here that can go wrong with these beauties has.. costing me fortune in repairs and ones not done still needed offsetting my cheap purchase price by far SIGH…
Thanks in advance…
