I've searched and can't find specific directions on cutting and removing the balance chain.
I know it has to come out from the bottom, but need to know which direction to turn the crank, or if it just pulls right out once cut.
Where this motor is going to be replaced anyway, I wouldn't mind giving that a shot to see if the noise goes away.
You could say I'm nuts for doing the extra work, but I look at it as tuition in the school of life and Saabs.
