2003 9-5 Aero 24hr test drive (thinking of purchase)

So my indie shop has a 2003 9-5 Aero in very clean shape (smells new, 50k miles). They're willing to take my '99 9-3 (130k miles) which is not nearly as clean and let me have the 9-5 for $10k. So that's about $2k trade in for a $12k car (the 9-5) I figure.
I've been driving it around. Very nice. But to be honest, I thought the turbo would be more impressive. It pulls all the way to redline, but I don't get that surge like I do in my 9-3. To be honest, it doesn't really feel that much quicker. Could need a tune up. Who knows.
It's the steel grey (the darker grey, not the silver one) with black leather. Not vented seats but all other options (5 spd, xenon, parking assist, etc...).
Curious to get some input. I'm honestly on the fence about it. 1/2 thinking of just driving my 9-3 into the ground at 200k. But she's starting to have things like windows break, the AC fan hums, blown speakers, rattles, needs new shocks / struts, trunk has lots of moisture for some reason, etc...
Generally, my 9-3 is starting to feel a bit rickety. I've driven '02 9-3s that seem much more solid.
Thanks,
N
