Have the same thing in 99LPT sedan around 2200rpm, but not in '00LPT wagon. Started about a 6 months ago. No CEL but it also has weird drops in RPM around the 2500-2800 range not at higher or lower rpms. I though maybe trans is slipping or I have misfires, but those would trigger a CEL. New plugs, techron, and new trans oil did not cure it. Cleaned the throttle body and it was nice to start with. The sedan actually gets 5 MPG better on average and feels much more responsive than the wagon. Both have rattles in turbos when listing from under the hood at idle. TBV is original on that car with 100K miles but looks OK on the outside. How oftenr to change it an dis it worth going upscale/performance instead of BOSCH?
