Aero = harsh ride?

I didn't notice much on the smooth roads of central VA. But up here in the NY/NJ/CT tri state area it's a different story. My aero is bumping around like crazy. Would be a bit annoying to own this car here.
But I can't help but wonder if there's a way to fix this. Are there springs that would allow a bit softer uptake on the bumps, but work better in lateral g type situations? I've heard the Bilstiens are harder, Konis people are very mixed on (the adjustment doesn't do much, quality issues, and very little extra bang compared to stock shocks).
Doesn't seem to be a solid consensus.
