We have 195/60x15 winter tires on my wife's 9-5 Linear wagon. Even though it's shod with Dunlop Wintersport M3 tires (not as good as Nokians), it does very well in snow. The 195s have lots of bite and my wife is happy with its snow ability. Next year, though, she gets Nokians.
As for Hakkas vs. WRs, in the suburban Boston area I think the WRs would be fine. I say WRs because you mostly have cleared roads in the Boston area, and don't have to drive in much snow all that often. I live in southern NH and have WRs on my 9000 (205/50x15), and my daughter has them on her 9K (195/60x15) and she's in school in Maine. The WR will give you the traction you need and last a bit longer--maybe an extra season. However, how big a hill is your driveway? Hakkas will give you an edge there, and if you come north to ski/snowboard the Hakkas will be nice in bad weather.
