Appreciate the comment. After reviewing the many xenon threads on this sight, nothing seems to describe my problem, I thought when the leveling sensor is failing that both lights would be a problem, and the default is the lights would point down, which mine do not do. It is -11C in Toronto, so crawling around under the car to check the leveling sensors doesn't look like much fun, but I suspect it worthwhile to at least the electrical contacts at the sensors when I can and see if this helps. Failing that, or any other advise, its off to the dealer.
My 2004 Arc Wagon is a great car, with 65Kms, but in the last few months, the plastic heater valve cracked, leaving me stranded on a road side on a vaction, thankfully the local GM dealer, who otherwise would not work on Saab, was sympathetic, and his tech was clever enough to realize the part crossed with a Cadillac Catera, which they had a part in stock. Within a month, the thermostat failed, which on reviewing this web site appears quite common (I have never in my life had a failed thermostat, surely this part should function for more than 65k before failing....maybe the overheating from the heater valve failure caused this?). Now, the xenons are on the fritz, after four years of service? I am getting worried that this car is not made of top flight quality parts...That said, things happen, it is a great car.
