Sorry didn't catch the Arc/V6 thing.
It's not easy to see if a thermostat is partially going bad since the temperature gauge is not showing actual real values but a computerized delayed average value.
I can tell by using my Tech 2 hooked up when staring the car cold and checking how fast and high the real temperature rise within a certain time period.
If it takes too long and if the working temperature is too low, the thermostat is opening too much too quickly and a fault code can be set by that.
If it doesn't open, the engine over heat and you will notice it that way.
