ZERO traction on anything except dry pavement.
Nokian WR all the way if you can't have dedicated snow tires.
There's no incremental expense to dedicated snows EXCEPT the cost of the additional wheels and swapping them (I do that myself anyways). Every mile you put on the snows is a mile you're not putting on your summer tires (and vice versa, of course). You just spread the wear across 8 tires rather than 4.
Add that to the value of the accidents you avoid and the additional confidence in winter, it's actually a much better value to have dedicated snows (unless you want to assign a cost to storage of the extra set of tires...)
