I got the a-pillar recall done at Saab of Dublin this morning. While waiting, I actually did count every Saab they had on the lot. 11 9-3s and 2 9-5s. Yup, that's right. 13 Saabs at the entire dealership (plus two or three more, includng mine, that were being serviced). They even had an Aero X SC! I thought those were all long-gone! Oh yeah, and zero 9-7x's. The *showroom* didn't even have any Saabs; there were three Cadillacs in it, and all the desks and cubicles were either empty or being used for storage. Apparently, they just bought a Chevy and Cadillac dealer, and were integrating them. (Chevy was taking the Hummer shop next door). Completely blew my mind. Apparently "integrating" Cadillac and Chevy into the Saab and Hummer dealer means "replacing." I knew the auto industry was not doing well, but my visit today really put it in a whole new perspective!
They had a Saturn dealer on the other side. Talk about the worst choice in dealerships, with all of those brands that GM wants to dump. Ironically, the Saturn dealer seemed to be doing quite well. But it's all relative.
