How many miles? If under 100K you may still be in the final months of Saab's 8 year 100K engine sludge warranty.

Usual cause for no oil pressure is sludge blocking the oil pump inlet screen. Sludge is usualy the result of extended oil change intervals and/or use of regular (non-synthetic) engine oil. If sludge is present in the pan, you can be certain it exists throughout the entire engine.

Sad, another Aero (see post below yours) dead due to engine failure. Hopefully Saab's special extended engine warranty is valid for your car.
