I went to a website, either a site sponsor or linked from somewhere like e-europarts which I thought was an independent parts discount dealer... I was wrong, it's a northeastern Saab parts department which I on't rename here since it doesn't matter.

Anyway their site says call us if you don't see what you need so I did, asking for the little carpet plastic rivets that hold the removable carpet piece that is removed to access the cabin air filter. They said they could get them in stock next day, $4 each. Whoa that seems a little steep but I haven't found these online anywhere and I thought I was somehow saving money by not going to the dealer. I ask for 5 and the shipping cost is an outrageous $8.50 for fedex ground (USPS overnight would not have been much higher).

Anyway I did not get the rivets I expected, but large "carpet brackets" that are slightly more justified in costing $4 each. Oh and being an evil car dealer parts department, the receipt says any return is due a 15% restocking fee not to mention the outrageous shipping charge.

So the question remains where can I get these little plastic rivets?
