Do your research on oils before you buy! At least two oils on the market, the Castrol synthetic & the Valvoline synthetic are not ester base synthetics as are Amsoil, Mobil 1 & Red Line for example. They are modified petroleum distillates which in the questionable brilliance (imho)
of the SAE whiz kids were allowed to be called synthetics due to their modified molecular structure. They cost less for a reason than the true synthetics. Not in my '02 9-5 Aero Sport Wagon!
