I really like my car but it hasn't been without fault. Check rear muffler for rust holes as well as the center muffler. The whole cat-back costs around $800 from SAAB. Rear shocks seem to like to leak/fail -look for wet oily stains on rear shocks, probably $150 each. Water-pump, oil-water cooler between the banks has a history of leaking, heater control valve fails (not too expensive), thermostat is a nightmare to get to. If you end up doing a cam-belt and tensioners, do the thermostat at the same time. It seems like once I got the "bugs" out of my car, it's been quite reliable lately. Currently 74K miles. I don't think the V6 handles as well as the 4-cylinder versions but I really like the V6. Smooth and good torque. And yes, turbocharger failures are expensive. The GT-1549 Garrett turbo is built into the front exhaust manifold. My turbo leaks some oil into the intake system and the Dealer has replaced the turbo twice. I believe the oil leakage is related to inadequate PCV vacuum or something else causing poor turbo drainage back into the oil pan. My current turbocharger has tight bearings but leaks oil nevertheless.
