GM selling SAAB Posted by pete [Email] (#2000) [Profile/Gallery] (more from pete) on Sat, 21 Feb 2009 09:18:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
just emailed this to SAAB in sweden to see if it's possible for saab owners to buy shares in SAAB from GM.... (nothing ventured, nothing gained!)
Hi Guys,
Sorry, don't speak Swedish, but wish I could! But I do speak "SAAB" and have been driving them for over 20 years.
I frequent SAABNET.com, and someone suggested that SAAB owners around the world purchase shares in the company (i.e. buy it from GM). I have no idea if this would work... but there must be enough enthusiasts who love the cars enough to accomplish this? If this is an option, how could this be accomplished? I have no idea what th asking price is, but I'm willing to bet it could be done! And return SAAB back to the brilliant Swedish engineers and put the "Swedish-ness" back in SAAB. (And please bring back the hatchback!).
And look at some Swedish marketing.... something like IKEA? Or as someone suggested, market SAAB like the automotive verson of the iPod?
Thanks!
Pete Hartman
