I am afraid any decent tire is directional. I have used Michelin Pilot Exaltos on my 00 9-3 SE two sets so far and have been very happy with them, only good for 40 -45k though. Currently have them on my wife's 04 9-5 Aero, good there as well. I recently replaced the ones on my 9-3 with Goodyear Eagle F1 DS-G3, I got them on sale at TireRack for 51.00 a tire...it was too cheap to pass up. After 2k, I like them so far.
I have never had much satisfaction out of Contis, Korean brands, Toyo, Yokahama or Bridgestones, General, Cooper, Goodrich, Uniroyal, Falkens. I have had some Dunlops and Pirellis that have been ok, others not. They had too much road noise, cupped, got out of round, buldged at sidewall, or wore out at 15-20k.
I would be inclined to look at the Pilot Exalto, which could be cheaper and higher rated (TireRack) than the Primacys. Read the TireRack reviews before you buy.
