What comes next with behavior modification from the auto makers... an electric shock from the seats when you supersize a big mac at the drive through...? Governor set by posted speed limit signals..?
I like to sit down in the car, start it up, take a deep breath, and let it idle while I get adjusted and strap on the seat belt. Particularly to get the air moving is the priority if it has been in the sun and is blazing hot inside....
It seems most people either don't mind or are content to put up with the ding. For me, this is the one place that I can call my own, rest, and get some peace and quiet. In my opinion, there is nothing the car has to communicate on a day to day basis that is important enough to disturb that peace with a ding or blinking light. [Never understood how folks could put up with the blinking 12:00 on the old VCRs either.]
I can't even believe someone would buy an Acura that behaves like in Wasabi's video...!
Thanks Kevin, I'll ask my mechanic about the Tech II again. He was able to lower the door lock chirp volume, but did not find the seatbelt ding.
