Front Struts harder than Rears?

After 130k miles I got around to swapping the rear struts on my 2003 Aero sedan, largely because of prior voices here stating they may be culpable in rear tire cupping.
That was pretty easy- maybe 90 min door-to-door and did use rented ($5) spring compressor.
(maybe SoCal life means it's a lot easier to disassemble old strut, compared to rusty, back-Easty vehicles)
Question- are the fronts a lot harder to do or about the same as the rears for a DIYer?
