Tools required, a T30 torx screwdriver or socket, a 5/8 inch or 16MM deep wall socket (I use a 5/8 and it works quite well) and a small flat blade screwdriver is handy for removing the electrical plug from the DIC.
Procedure:
1. Unscrew DIC using T30 torx.
2. Pry DIC up slightly to get better access to electrical plug.
3. Use the screwdriver (or whatever is handy) to pry the red collar on the plug loose to unlock and remove the plug.
4. Remove the DIC.
5. Use 5/8 socket to remove spark plugs.
6. Install new plugs preferably with dielectric grease on the insulators and high temperature anti-seize compound on the threads. Torque to 21 ft-lb.
7. Reinstallation of the DIC is the reverse of the above and it is recommended that blue loctite on the threads of the torx screws. Torque to 8.1 ft-lb.
The anti-seize, dielectric grease, loctite and precise torque requirements are all nice but can wait for a week or so until you have more time.
