Here in Colorado we have 91 octane as the highest octane available. I investigated and found a place that has 100 octane unleaded. I filled tank half with 91 and half with 100 for an approximate 96 octane average. My car idles and runs better with quicker acceleration and apc shows needle slightly into the red zone. Before the needle just nudged itself into the red. Am I getting about a pound more boost? I was hoping i'd get more. I suppose the limitation is the ECU at this point? How about folks in the East like New England where they sell 94 octane Sunoco gas regularly, what type of performance do you all get on that, comprable to what I just described above? The 100 octane gas was 6 dollars a gallon, no joke. For that price, even mixed in balance with 91 octane gas, which is about 2.25 here now in colorado, I'd expect more performance. Ideas?
