Our Diehard is going on 3.5 years. Original battery lasted a little over 3.5 years, but the car was built in April '02 & we bought it new in September, so it spent a lot of time with a run down battery, which is tough on batteries.
My '97 Fraud, oops, Ford Ranger had it's original battery until last winter. The only thing on the vehicle that was any good.
Electronics on the car have nothing to do with battery life. All the battery does is start the car and run things when the engine is off. When the engine is running, the alternator powers everything. If you often run accessories extensively with the engine off, you could be shortening the life of the battery, but just playing the radio shouldn't do it unless you play it for hours. The radio will run down an old, tired battery, however.
I agree with others who said it's time for a new battery.
