LOUD brake squeal in reverse: 2008 Aero, 12k

I've had 3 9-5 wagons.. they've all had a little reverse braking squeal at times.. but this new 2008 has done it since about 2500 miles. I just passed it off to 'character', until now. I had the 10k service and asked the dealer about it. He found tiny cracks in the pads and kindly replaced all four. Now with all new brakes, 500 miles later the darn things started squeaking LOUDLY during every reverse. Dry and 80º or wet and 40º. It's driving me nuts. I live in the city and reverse into my garage down hill, braking the whole time and surely driving then neighbors crazy. This car was almost $40k (duh, should have bought used!) and these brakes sound worse than a 25 year old Tempo on metal-to-metal pads. Any tips? Can I replace with something else? I've theoretically still got a warranty and can push the dealer again, but fixing with the same thing that creates the problem ain't moving the game on. Help. Thanks!
