A 9s5 does not exist in the European market, and in no other market for that matter as well, I think.
There are not many special editions of the 9-5 made. The only one that comes to mind is the 2000/ 2001 sports edition, which you would recognize mostly by its weird rims (some sort of 3-spoke sliced in 3 again). But basically that's an lpt with some body cladding.
An "S" in European terms would mean a base model for the years 1998 - 2001. The "SE" is the one with the goodies. After that (2002 and on)the Linear/ Arc/ Vector nomenclatura kicks in.
And indeed, the aero badge should be on the right.
I cannot se from the photograph whether or not it would still be an aero, which would be fine. The slightly oval-shaped tailpie would suggest to me it could be.
I would be very cautious. This car has been tampered with.
