I want to discourage you from running a calibrate sequence with no stop arm ... it will break the blend door shaft. In fact you really dont want to run the ACC at all with a broken or missing stop arm.
there are a few stepper motors, one on the drivers side and one or two on the passenger.
1st get a new stop arm. get the updated plastic arm or the super strong aluminum arm. then plug in the stepper motors. then run the calibrate sequence. run it a few times over. then report back with the codes (hopefully you wont have any)
the glove box is an easy removal and yes you will have to remove it to get to anything over there,
