ABS module and no ignition... related?

Hello all!
I need y'alls help and since we are expecting company for a family wedding and related events, I could really use y'alls help NOW!
Yesterday afternoon my wife's '01 SE Wagon w/ V6 died. Engine died while driving down the street. Had the wagon towed to my trusted and reliable service station (where a former Saab mechanic works) and the Tech II indicated "auxiliary computer no output." This makes sense since I've had the brake fluid/ABS/TCS dash lights turn on and off the last couple of days. An ABS module repair is in the works right now.
But what about the ignition failure? Could the two be related? Or would something else (DI failure, fuel pump failure, fuel injection circuit failure, etc.) be the root cause of the ignition failure. I'm told the engine started fine this AM, ran for several minutes and then died. I do not want to start throwing parts at this problem 'cause (as you all know) all those parts are EXPENSIVE.
Many thanks in advance, I remain
