I replaced the TB in my 2004 9-5 Aero wagon at 60,000 miles. It was easy and I am not a mechanic. Do a search here and you can find my post and others and how to do it. There is also a websight that shows replacement on a 2003 or earlier that is a slightly different TB than the 2004 and later: http://photo.platonoff.com/Auto/20041006.Saab_9-5_throttle_body/
I bought my TB at Eeuroparts. These are the Item numbers you need: 5950191 Throttle Body, 5958764 Throttle body o-ring, 4940698 Intake hose o-ring. There is no reprogramming that I am aware of and my replacement has been successful for 2,000 miles so far. Good luck.
