9-5 hood gap adjustment

Looking at an 06 9-5 at a dealer. The space between the hood edge and the fender is tighter, almost touching, by the passenger A pillar than at the front of the fender. Driver's side is evenly spaced all along the hood.
Is there an adjustment to true up the gap at the hinge area, or is this a sign of an accident?
Car has some new paint on the lower rear passenger quarter panel below the beltline, but doors seem to be aligned ok and no evidence of tampering.
Thanks in advance.
