Assuming you have checked the oil level and it is correct, the oil light indicates low oil pressure, possibly the result of sludge blocking your oil pickup screen in the sump. It could also be a worn out oil pump which fits the profile of the "hot engine-low oil pressure" scenario, but why at such relatively low miles? Maybe it didn't have regular maintenance.

I would have an indy drop the pan and check for sludge ASAP. It is about a $350 job depending where you are located. It also may need an oil pump. The smoke could be a turbo, or bad rings, or nothing. Has it had the PCV update (#6)? My 2001 used to smoke occasionally from time to time but it's gone away since I did that. I also had my pan dropped and the oil screen cleaned at 90K and the car runs great now at 120K. I run full synthetic 5w-40 changed every 5K.
