As Miller says, dont use this in your '04. When Saab went to a 5spd auto with the '02 9-5 and '03/4 (9440 body) 9-3, the trans fluid changed as well. The 4spds take the old school Type III fluid (which is what your trick shift fluid base is). The '02+ take a 3309 type fluid. It is a very different type of fluid, smells and looks similar to the revised synthetic 0063 manual trans fluid. If you change the fluid at your scheduled intervals, you should not have any problems for the life of the vehicle.
