All engine mounts are less than 5k on my 2k2 Aero, and I get idle vibration that's not bad, but noticeable. It's uneven, too.... how can I describe it?
"bbbbbb BBBBBBB bbb BBBBBB bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb BBBBBBB" etc etc.
and if I lightly give it some gas (stupid electronic throttle) it goes up to 1000, 1100 maybe, and smooths out considerably!
Actually, I have had the GS poly mount for my transmission for 20k miles, but I didn't notice any harshness after it was installed. My [rebuilt] TB also has around 20k on it. I suppose I could poke around and clean it a bit.
I think that raising the idle is like cheating. It's a quick fix, but doesn't really address the problem. I think the MAF is gonna be my main target for a good cleaning - maybe that'll do something?
