Thanks All HF100 BEHIND GLOVE BOX Posted by saabsince 93b [Email] (#972) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabsince 93b) on Sun, 28 Jun 2009 08:40:28 In Reply to: Re: IHF100 BEHIND GLOVE BOX, Larry West [Profile/Gallery] , Sat, 27 Jun 2009 11:31:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I finally did put it behind the glove box, or actually above the glove box with a bit of additional foam to hold it in. I had so much wire that I wanted to get it out of the console are.....and there is really no room in the console area anyway. Maybe on the next [my third] installation if I ever do one on the 95, I will get it right!!
This one went very easily. I have all the notes from Herb Hirsch on the wiring and splicing in the connector went well. I now seem to know all the tricks of getting the dash apart now. It is easy when you have done it a couple of times.
I am going to try to Saab MIC again to see how it works. I seems good on the voice recognition part. I did switch the red wire to connector 2 for impedance matching. If I am not happy with it, I will put in the Motorola mic.
I paid $50.00 on eBay for the IHF1000 and $10 shipping, and $22.00 for the Saab connector. That is about the price of a jawbone bluetooth ear piece!
