On the V6 the oil cooler is nestled between the V of the engine. It's known to leak externally, AND internally, and it sounds like yours might be doing both. While the 4-cyl Saabs have air-cooled oil coolers, the V6's oil cooler is cooled by coolant. So you have oil flowing through the cooler which is submerged in pressurized coolant. If the cooler starts leaking, coolant gets into the oil and goobers things up pretty badly. I bet if you check your oil dipstick you'll find that the end is covered in a brown gooey milky substance. This goo is impeding oil flow, leading to low oil pressure at idle, leading to your oil light flickering. You need to get this fixed ASAP, or you're going to damage your engine seriously.
