...you had all this work done at the dealership ($$$). Three of the four motor mounts are easy to DIY, and won't cost you more than $400 in parts. The rear mount was most likely fine with only 35k on it. The coolant bypass valve is also cheap and easy to DIY as well as the DIC. All that in total would be about $700. The alternator on the other hand is a BIG job that is best left to a pro, but saying that I'm a very surprised you had to replace yours, as they're relatively rare to fail on the 9-5 to begin with, but with less than 35k miles!? Yikes...
I still say if you're halfway DIY-inclined and have a good indy, you'll come out way ahead without an extended warranty. I also think the later models (2004+, and especially the 2006 that the OP has) are much more reliable than the 1999-2003's. So I stand by my original recommendation to Mikemc to skip the extended warranty.
