Too stiff for cheap dogbone?

I just replaced all my motor mounts. My torque arm (dogbone / lower transmission mount) was actually broken. I think the rubber bushing is especially cheap and ill-fitting, but do you think the better poly bushing will be too stiff, and hence cause the dogbone to break more easily?
