Great photos! I've said some negatives for me so far, so I should note some positives here. I really like the heads up display. I like the blacked out A pillar... and I really like the back tailight bar (and the "afterburner" light)... all cool... where the Opel also comes as a hatch + wagon, and both look better than sedan form (imho), it is likely this will too... sedan just needs to be released first for marketing reasons.

I skimmed through the replies on that forum - looks like Saab outsiders really do like it, especially the interior. So what do I know? Maybe I'm too much of a purist + should focus less on switch placement than the big picture. Maybe this is exactly what Saab needs... I hope it works! I found this comment on the forum funny:

"Kind of nice to see green lighting being used in a nice fashion. Though I prefer red since it doesn't mess with your eyes ability to see in the dark."

I'm happy to see the green lighting too, because it is actually much better at night (and the reason older Saabs had green dash lighting, based on ergonomic studies, not just for cool effects like in modern Asian cars). It's funny they think green=cheap. Maybe for LCDs in the 90's, but green pre-dated LCDs... I'm very happy with the green!

So all in all, it is growing on me. Still think a clamshell would be nice + that there is an obvious line. So I (poorly) photoshopped it. I think I like it better... but again, maybe I am being too much of a purist!

James...
