need to carry a spare that is used? Posted by NJ-PA Don [Email] (#1221) [Profile/Gallery] (more from NJ-PA Don) on Sat, 15 Aug 2009 14:52:07 In Reply to: spares, bobc [Profile/Gallery] , Sat, 15 Aug 2009 13:22:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If the newer generation of IDM/DICs fail gracefully, why carry a used spare that has already begun to fail? It seems like you are replacing a failing one with the very same thing.
It would seem better to carry a spare that is either a known good used one or a new one. Since I am reluctant to carrying $220 around in my trunk, I bought a $50 code reader and a spare $60 CPS and am taking my chances.
