I've had Zimmermann drilled front rotors and Akebono pads on the front for 2+ years and there is little wear of either pad or rotor, and of course - no filthy brake dust!! During an extended operiod of driving when my ABS was not working, I put a lot of abuse on the rear discs and standard pads and I hope that some recent wheel shudder when braking is due to the rears being slightly warped from this overuse. I've got new Zimmermann rear rotors coming from an E-Bay seller and with a set of rear Akebonos, I hope to be ridng smooth again and 100% dust free!!!
Just a small question - the front rotors don't seem to get any shinier than a dull brown/gray. Is this due to the ceramic pads not being as abrasive?
Thanx,
Kirk D.
