My experience with Saab life....... Posted by Herb Hirsch [Email] (#114) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Herb Hirsch) on Tue, 1 Sep 2009 07:50:48 In Reply to: Re: average life of a 9-5, TG, Tue, 1 Sep 2009 02:32:12 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My 2000 9-5 Aero had 280K miles on it when I sold it after buying a new 2007 9-5 Aero. I even bought the same color.
Prior to my 2000 9-5 I had 9000's that I put 135K - 185K miles on.
In no case did I dispose of a Saab because of maintenance costs.
As you get into 200K miles and above you may see the fuel pump and catalytic converter need replacement. If you beat up the transmission and/or don't change the oil it will eventually fail.
With moderate driving and preventive maintenance there is no reason why you can't enjoy 200K - 400k or even more miles.
