It's a flow rate measurement all right but I don't know what tool they use and how they hook it up to the PCV system at which hose.
I only measure pressure/vacuum with a high sensitive gauge, not flow rate.
Inches of Mercury (InHg) or mm of Mercury (mmHg)is other types for this application but the numbers gets really small.
