Assumption only, and we all know the trick with assume Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 13 Sep 2009 17:17:46 In Reply to: Not to hijack..., B Millar [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 13 Sep 2009 15:57:09 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Performance items from the Saab aftermarket parts catalog all seemed to disappear in 2002 or so. The performance exhausts were dropped, the performance ECU was discontinued, the catalog morphed into expensive shirts, pens, and trinkets.
I "assumed" GM had their fingers in this change as the SaabUSA catalog appeared significantly different from versions for other countries.
Look at the absence of Hirsch performance parts in the US. Hirsch said for years they were unable to negotiate appropriate distribution agreements with SaabUSA. GM dumps Saab, and suddenly State Of Nine signs on as the Hirsh distributor for North america.
Maybe a coincidence, but I think I see a pattern. There must be some reason preventing Remus from selling a 9-5 exhaust system after it was sold by Saab for years.
