I have an 02 Linear wagon with stock suspension but 225/45/17 all-season tires. I find this combo very comfortable to drive, though it cannot compare to the isolation of, say, a Lexus (I have lots of experience with a 1998 ES300), though I now consider it much too soft, prone to body roll in the most gentle corners. The Linear suspension is an excellent middle ground.

2006 marked a change for the 9-5s, but I know some 2005s came with 16" wheels.

Jos, you have posted much about this before. Can you find no one to swap wheels or suspensions with? Where are you located? I, for one, would definitely be interested in Aero wagon springs and shocks. I understand logistics of a swap may be tricky, but so is swapping cars.

Best of luck sorting this out.
