well after about 6 months of piddling with this crazy suspension clunk, I fixed it! since last winter my car started making a strange clung noise while starting forward or backwards motion! it would pop 2-3x every time I started moving forward or backwards. 3 or 4 times I tightened every bolt I could find in the suspension and sub frame, i even removed the bolts on the sub frame and added washers. the noise would sometimes get softer but never go away. and in the last few weeks it has been getting worse! I finally got it narrowed down to the rear bushing on the control arm! I tightened this bushing I don't know how many times with no change. Yesterday I removed the bolts and cleaned the crap out of the holes, their was lots or sand/salt like stuff in it and tightened it up again. well one bolt busted so I had to knock out the factory nuts and replace the bolts and nuts, after looking at the other bolt I found they were stretching and not holding the bushing tight! Now no more noise!!! something so simple drove me nuts for 6 months!!!
