If you don't have a CEL it's not a big problem... yet. The SAI pump is an electric pump that pumps ambient air into the exhaust manifolds to warm up the catalytic converter faster on a cold start. That is all it does. Unfortunately it's tied into the emissions system and will throw an annoying-as-hell CEL when it malfunctions, so you're forced to replace the darn thing. When mine went I bought a used one from Elite Foreign Auto parts for about $75.
