How much more $ for the tensioner and pully Posted by adl6009 [Email] (#2526) [Profile/Gallery] (more from adl6009) on Tue, 22 Sep 2009 08:19:34 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My 2002 arc is nearing 58k miles so the timing belt is now due. I know saab pays for the belt and labor to replace it. How much more should I pay for the tensioner and pulley replacement? Also I noticed some of the timing belt kits come with camshaft seals, yes-no- maybe? What about the water pump, is now a good time even if its not leaking?
When I did this to my 1999 v-6 I had the terrible feeling of getting ripped off by the dealer. At that time I did the water pump and tensioner and pulley and paid about $1000 out of pocket. That seemed a little high back then. I am hoping to do better this time around.
