The info on the kit you need is:
Article : Cable harness PartNo : 400133005 $26.80
Usage : 2003-2008
Note: Wiring it according to Saab's directions, it is wired along with the interior lights. The interior lights circuit REMAINS HOT after you switch the car off, until the lights timer in the DICE module times out.
However, when the car is "awakened" by opening a door, or unlocking with the remote, the interior light circuit is re-energized.
Basically, you'll think it never goes off, but it does. Especially with the compass, as you'll always see it.
I've had mine in the car a couple months now, and the mirror is not a significant drain on the battery.
And this is exactly the same way it is wired if the car came with the autodimming mirror.
