When I put mine in I didn't have to remove the whole mount. I just took out the bolt that goes through the larger rubber chunk and rotated the torque arm down. The rubber chunk comes out easily. Getting the poly mount in is a PITA. I used some dish some to lubricate it and it finally slipped in. Then threading the bolt back through the whole mess is an even bigger PITA. Here's a BIG hint though. With the car on the ground (no jacks) and in PARK with the hand brake off, have someone stand behind the car and rock it back and forth as you thread the bolt. I literally spent 3 hours trying to thread it before I had my father rock the car and it went right in.

As for the end result. Idle vibration did not increase significantly on my car, a 2004 Aero; automatic (duh). When the engine is under load though... woo baby! I feel a LOT of vibration through my seat, gas pedal, floor pan, steering wheel, and it is LOUD! If you like your 9-5 for its quiet ride you might want to rethink this poly mount. I might just take mine out soon and see if I can deal with the extra drive-train slop in return for a quieter ride. If not it's not that bad to reinstall once you know what you're doing.

Good luck!
