My 2001 V6 had the original front struts when I sold it with 184k miles. Of course they were probably a little tired and if I had replaced them the ride may have improved a little, but they were still doing their job. If you don't have any specific reason to replace them I would hold off for a while and save up for a set of Koni FSD's for when the time does come. I hear good things about them.
