Battery draining

Last month, I had a problem when my car wouldn't start after a week of not being used. I thought I had a bad battery and replaced it. Today, I encountered the same problem, even though I have a new battery, so obviously something is draining it.
I know there's a short in the passenger seat motor, and while I was trying to jump my car tonight, I could hear the motor clicking. Would that motor be the potential problem? I don't know enough about electronics to be sure, but it seems like that might be the culprit. Hopefully something with more electronics knowledge can let me know.
